10th Anniversary in NYC

Devon and I celebrated our 10th anniversary with a weekend getaway to New York City!

We stayed at a nice little hotel in the theater district, Hotel Mela.

Next door to O’Donoghue’s!  Had to snap a pic to send to my parents.

We headed downtown in search of Momofuku Noodle Bar for lunch.  One of the first people we saw when getting off the subway was Jane Krakowski!  I said, “Whoa, it’s the orange juice lady!”

I get way too giddy and excited over celebrities!

We had an awesome lunch at Momofuku and then headed toward the financial district.  We did not have passes to visit the 9/11 memorial, but we did get to check out the construction and see the amazing One World Trade Center.062

Times Square kept us busy for a while - we shopped and bought cookies and hung out with the minions.

After a little rest at the hotel, we were ready for dinner, drinks and Newsies!

The show was so much fun!  We loved it!

The next day we were really excited to be going on a food tour of Greenwich Village.  Along the way we saw some amazing sand art in Washington Square Park.

We met up with our tour guide, Marie in front of Murray’s Cheese Shop.  She was awesome!  She took us on a three-hour tour of the neighborhood and shared so much history with us.

And of course, the best part about a food tour – the food!

I actually forgot to take a picture of this one…a huge chocolate chip cookie from Milk and Cookies Bakery.  I was pretty darn excited, so I’m sure that’s why I forgot.

We had such a great time!  We definitely want to go back and do another food tour with Foods of NY Tours – they offer six different neighborhood tours!

It was so nice to spend a couple of days together celebrating our life together and thinking about what lies ahead for us in the future!  I love my husband so much!  I am so blessed to be married to such a good man and I am so thankful for all we share together!  To many more wonderful years!!

Snow Much Fun

The past couple of winters, we haven’t had much snow up here in NY.  This year however, we are making up for that!  We’ve had tons of snow and the kids have been having so much fun in it!

We had a special event with our school, snow tubing at Willard Mountain!  It was so much fun!

This is Liam riding the rope tow up the mountain.  You can just make out his legs and arms sticking out of the tube!

It was sooooo cold, but we were so excited!

My view riding up the rope tow.  I was a little nervous, I’ll admit!

And the view down the mountain!  We had so much fun…especially Liam, my little wild man!  He couldn’t get enough!

Hope everyone else has been having lots of winter fun!
