Turkey Day Fun

We had an awesome Thanksgiving!  We continued with our Turkey Trot tradition, with the kids running the one-mile grade school run.

It was an absolutely freezing morning!  Here we are keeping warm before the start of the race!

Sock Hop 2013

One of our very favorite school events is the sock hop!  The kids get all decked out in 50’s gear and we dance the night away!

I think this may be the last year we are able to squeeze Liam into this jacket!

Happy Halloween 2013

I was so excited this year when the kids decided to have coordinated costumes!  I’ve been wanting this every year since the clown costume year.

We set to work creating the costumes, cheating a little bit with buying the Batman pajamas for Liam to wear…they were just too perfect!

We had a couple of Halloween events the week prior to trick-or-treating, and I’m so glad that I took their pictures then…Halloween itself was a miserable, rainy, windy mess!  We were soaked by the end of the night!

Liam as Batman!

Thriller

This month’s Troy Night Out had a Halloween theme!  Anyone in the community was invited to meet at the Troy Dance Factory to learn the “Thriller” dance, and then perform it at the twilight farmer’s market.

Knowing Seamus, he was all over this!

The group of zombies practiced for an hour and a half and learned the complicated dance.  I think they did a great job!  Seamus performed as “Robin Zombie.”
