Today we celebrated Liam’s first birthday party with a “Very Hungry Caterpillar theme!”

The big excitement of the day was Liam learning to walk! He’s taken a step or two in the past week, but this weekend he really started to move. Check out the video of him walking at his party!

I have been looking forward to Liam’s first cake for weeks. He is a big fan of eating, hence the “hungry caterpillar” theme. I thought he would absolutely go crazy with that cake in front of him. But the funny thing was that he was more interested in squishing it than eating it! Oh yeah, he really went to town on that poor cake!
He got some wonderful gifts and just had a great time visiting with family and friends at his party. A big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Camenga for all their help this weekend! Thank you to everyone who sent Liam best wishes on his first birthday!

Such a cute party! Wow, all that walking and cake squishing must have had Liam exhausted! I don't think I've ever seen a kid do that to a cake, lol!
