December Catch-Up

December was fun and crazy and flew by!  Here’s some things we were up to!

We celebrated our 10th annual Mommy and Me cookie exchange party!

We went to see A Christmas Carol at a local college!

I got to help out in Grace’s classroom and they had a very special visitor!

We got some amazing snow and even a snow day from school!

We made a gingerbread masterpiece!

Our Sacred Heart School Christmas concert was beautiful!  The living nativity and special visit from Santa is always my favorite part!

Thankful for a Crazy Thanksgiving

Ok…so I am way behind on posting!  Life has been busy, so I’ll do my best to catch up!

Our Thanksgiving this year was a bit different than usual!

I had committed to running the Turkey Trot 10K this year, instead of the usual 5K, so that was a bit nerve-wracking for me!  But the race went great and I finished in a decent time for my first 10K!

The kids typically run the kids’ one-mile race, but just as we were ready to head out the door, Seamus got sick!  Luckily it was a fluke thing and he wasn’t truly ill, but Devon stayed home with them and unfortunately they missed the race this year.  We’ll try again next year!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner, but this year we ate early and quickly, since we needed to be in the car by 3pm to drive to Philadelphia.  My mom and I were headed to the Mid-Atlantic Oireachtas, an Irish dance competition that Grace was participating in!

She had a ton of fun dancing and hanging with her friends.  It was a crazy weekend!

I was so proud of her for all her hard work and beautiful dancing!

We also had a fun visit in Philly with Jenn and Simon Greene!  We walked all over the city in the cold and had a blast!

So it was not our typical relaxed Thanksgiving weekend, filled with food, Black Friday shopping, Christmas decorating and more food.  But we had a great time!  I am so thankful for all the wonderful blessings in my life!

Happy Halloween 2014!

I was so excited when the kids decided to coordinate Halloween costumes again this year!  They all decided they wanted to be characters from their most recent favorite movie, The Lego Movie!

Here’s Emmet!

With “Lego hands!”

My sassy Wyldstyle!

And the cutest Bad Cop I’ve ever seen!

Happy Halloween from Emmet, Wyldstyle and Bad Cop!

Liam is 4!

My littlest love Liam is now 4!  I can't believe what a big boy he is now. We celebrated with a small family party and he was just thrilled about his cupcakes and gifts.

He is such a silly little man!  He loves school so much.  He wants to do everything "by myself" and he LOVES playing with his big brother and Sister.

Happy Birthday Liam! We love you so much!

First Day of School 2014

Wow, this school year is already flying by!  Can’t believe it’s the end of September and the kids are already in the thick of another fantastic year.

Here’s Grace on her first day of third grade!

Seamus on his first day of fourth grade!

Typically they wear their full uniform on the first day of school, but it was very warm this year so they were allowed to wear their summer uniform right away.

Liam started his second year of Pre-K!

Our tradition for the first day of Pre-K is a special donut for breakfast.  Can’t believe my baby will be off to kindergarten next year and the Pre-K donuts will be all done!

Hope everyone is having a great school year!

Our Disney World Vacation–Part 2

Day 3, Epcot, Downtown Disney, and dinner at Coral Reef.

Test Track was one our favorite rides!

Meeting Belle!

Cooling off by catching water at the fountains!

Day 4, Hollywood Studios and dinner at the 50’s Primetime Café.

Lots of Frozen fun in HS!

Wandering Oaken’s had an ice skating rink and real snow to play with!  However, as you can imagine, these upstate NY kids were not overly impressed :-)

Anna and Elsa!

Having fun while waiting in line to meet our favorite toys!

Just having a lil’ dill pickle snack while waiting for the amazing Beauty & the Beast show to begin!

Seamus rode the Tower of Terror and LOVED it!

The 50’s Primetime Care…where you feel like you’re eating in your grandma’s kitchen!  Loved it!

Day 5, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and dinner at Rainforest Café.

I had a snafu with our fastpasses to meet Anna and Elsa.  So Grace and I woke up super early for Extra Magic Hours, and headed off the to MK to be one of the first in line for the princesses.  We had a blast and it was so fun sharing that special time with her!

Splash Mountain!  So much fun!

Trying to pull the Sword in the Stone!

Three hungry tree frogs at the Rainforest Café!

One of the most magical moments of our trip…meeting Mickey Mouse!  This Mickey was awesome because he talked!

It was such an amazing trip and we were sad to see it end!  But we are looking forward to the day we can return, and like Mickey always says, “See ya real soon!”
