Christmas Fun!

Our Christmas was just wonderful!  It was such an exciting Christmas season and we did so many fun things for Advent.

Christmas Eve, Seamus and Grace sang in the choir at the Children’s Mass and it was beautiful.  We had an amazing dinner at home with my parents, then went to a couple Christmas parties and saw some old friends.

Back at home, the kids opened their gifts to each other, we tracked Santa on NORAD and left out milk and cookies!  They were asleep in minutes!

After Santa came!

Christmas morning fun began at 7am!

It was so exciting!  So many wonderful surprises from Santa!

Nanny and Poppy arrived with their special gifts!

All the family together with Grampy in the afternoon, just before heading to Aunt Sue’s for Christmas dinner.

It was a wonderful and fun day spent with family!

Then a few days later, it was time to head to Grandma and Grandpa Camenga’s house for a second Christmas!

The cousins all have so much fun together!  They spent a great afternoon zooming down a hill!

Even the “big kids” got in on the fun!

The kids were so excited to meet their new baby cousin Dylan, born just a week before Christmas!

Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandchildren (can you spy the grumpy Liam hiding behind Grandma?)

Opening more gifts!

Singing Happy Birthday to Grandpa!

So much fun!  What a lucky family we are!

Christmas Concert Part 2

We got a foot of snow on Sunday, but luckily the roads were cleared in time to have the second Christmas concert at SHS!  Liam was so excited, and he asked about every five minutes, “Is it time for my show now?”

Mr. Cool ready to rock out to “North Pole Rock ‘n Roll!”

One of my favorites, “My Red Sled.” (Liam is right behind the kid with the red argyle vest – not easy to get decent video with my phone!)

My Red Sled

And “Away in a Manger.”

Away in a Manger

It was the most adorable show and the kids did such a great job!

Christmas Concert Part 1

Seamus and Grace had their school Christmas concert and I wanted to share some video!  I wasn’t close enough to Seamus at the show to record him during the band performance, so he gladly played “Hot Cross Buns” a second time when we returned home:

Grace had a solo during “All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth.”  She did a great job and was so excited to actually be missing her two front teeth for this performance!  Her solo starts around the 53 second mark:

The singing and instrument playing along with the special live nativity was wonderful!  Part 2 of the Christmas concert will be on Sunday with Liam’s Pre-K class…can’t wait!

Turkey Day Fun

We had an awesome Thanksgiving!  We continued with our Turkey Trot tradition, with the kids running the one-mile grade school run.

It was an absolutely freezing morning!  Here we are keeping warm before the start of the race!

Poppy ran the mile with them!

Here they come…where’s Pop???

Grace was having fun!

Poor little frozen Liam!

Medals!  So cool.

Mommy made it through the 5k!

We headed home to watch the parade and then had an awesome dinner with family!  We even taught my grandfather how to play Disney Headbanz…one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen!

We hope all our friends and family had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!

Sock Hop 2013

One of our very favorite school events is the sock hop!  The kids get all decked out in 50’s gear and we dance the night away!

I think this may be the last year we are able to squeeze Liam into this jacket!

Cool dudes from third grade!

Liam was a crazy dancing man!

Lovely ladies from second grade!

Liam and his teacher, Mrs. Brady!  He loves her!

We had such a great time!

Happy Halloween 2013

I was so excited this year when the kids decided to have coordinated costumes!  I’ve been wanting this every year since the clown costume year.

We set to work creating the costumes, cheating a little bit with buying the Batman pajamas for Liam to wear…they were just too perfect!

We had a couple of Halloween events the week prior to trick-or-treating, and I’m so glad that I took their pictures then…Halloween itself was a miserable, rainy, windy mess!  We were soaked by the end of the night!

Liam as Batman!

Grace as Batgirl!

Seamus as Robin!

Protecting the neighborhood from crime!

We had a great time on Halloween, despite the terrible weather!  Hope you all enjoyed your trick-or-treat as well!
