Thank You Santa!

What a wonderful Christmas we had!  We went to Christmas Eve mass, and Seamus and Grace sang in the children’s choir.

034

Then it was home for a delicious dinner, and gifts from Aunt Ashie and Aunt Chachi!

We all sang “Happy Birthday” to Baby Jesus.

044

Liam zonked out, and Seamus and Grace put out milk and cookies for Santa.  We tracked Santa online to make sure we were all in bed on time!

046

He came!!!

049

After a very long, non-restful night with super excited children who could not stay asleep, it was finally time to dig into the tree.

Such awesome gifts!  Grace got a makeup set and cotton candy machine, Liam got trains and trucks, and it was a very Ninjago Christmas for Seamus!

Christmas morning jammie pic! (Notice Grace couldn’t wait to try out her makeup kit!)

Nanny and Poppy came for breakfast and even MORE gift opening.

076

After a nice long nap, we headed off for a relaxing afternoon at Uncle Charles and Aunt Sue’s.

079

Perfect day for lounging!

We had so much fun!  Now we’re off to celebrate again with the Camenga side of the family!  Can’t wait!

Holiday Happenings

We have been having so much fun this December!  Our Advent calendar has little pockets where we insert a fun Christmas activity for the kids to do each day, and they have been having a blast.  A recent activity was decorating gingerbread houses!

The beautiful creations!

We also recently attended our annual cookie exchange party with our friends from school.  This was our 8th cookie exchange!  Our first party began with just 4 tiny babies….

And we have grown to 10 fabulous friends!  Such a fun time!

017

The Sacred Heart School Christmas concert was another fun night!  Everyone got all dressed up and couldn’t wait to perform!

032

My crazy girl loves to pose!

036

Seamus lost a tooth (and swallowed it!) just before the show!

039

This was my little goober’s last year of watching the performance…next year he’ll be singing in it!

043

One of the most wonderful Sacred Heart traditions…the living nativity.  A beautiful sight!

076

Looking forward to more holiday fun as Christmas approaches!

Christmas Photo Fail

This weekend while Devon was working, the kids and I thought it would be fun to take the annual Christmas card picture.  Well…”fun” wasn’t exactly the word I’d use to describe it!  I thought I’d post some of our outtakes for your entertainment and the future embarrassment of my children!

Oh Seamus…would you PLEASE open your eyes???

031

“Mom…help!”

040

Where’s Liam?

075

“Did you see what he just did, Mom???”

077

Uhhh….Liam…

078

These were immediately after I nearly fell off our coffee table…

098103

Say cheese….Liam, what’s in your mouth??  Who gave him a gummy worm???

112

Ride the horsey!

120

“Mom…I still got a gummy worm!”

128

Getting crazy…

160

Aaaand we’re done!

141

So.  Out of 198 photos, I didn’t have one useable Christmas card photo (mainly due to that fact that Seamus’ eyes were closed in approximately 192 of them.)

Luckily we headed out this morning and managed to get one decent shot!  A Christmas miracle!

Our Turkey Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We kicked off the day at the Troy Turkey Trot, where Seamus and Grace ran the kids’ mile run.  The Trot is lots of fun…so many crazy characters and costumes to see!

Southpaw, Puckman, a chicken…

A viking, giant turkey hats…

And the Smile Monster!!  The kids love seeing all the mascots.

Here’s Seamus and Grace with our friend Lou, the mayor of Troy!

019

The kids couldn’t wait to dress up this year for the run!  Grace wore her ballerina costume, and it was so cool to hear all the people on the sidelines yelling to her about how cute she looked!

021

Seamus insisted on being a basketball player…although he did say next year he’s planning to wear something a little crazier!

025

The kids did great on the run and we had so much fun.  Over 6,000 people participate in the races of the Turkey Trot and we are proud to be a part of it!

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house for the first time and it was wonderful!  Unfortunately no pics from the rest of the day, but we enjoyed counting our blessings and being together!

Going to the Hop!

One of our favorite nights of the year is the Sacred Heart School Sock Hop!  It is so much fun to get all dressed up and dance the night away!

002004

The boys were looking super cool with their leather jackets and spiked hair!

010

Grace just loved wearing a poodle skirt!

040

The kids stayed on the dance floor all night…I couldn’t drag them away!  Doing the Cupid Shuffle…

034

And Liam showing off his “Gangnam Style” moves!

064

We had a blast!  Thank you SHS!
