Ok…so I am way behind on posting! Life has been busy, so I’ll do my best to catch up!
Our Thanksgiving this year was a bit different than usual!
I had committed to running the Turkey Trot 10K this year, instead of the usual 5K, so that was a bit nerve-wracking for me! But the race went great and I finished in a decent time for my first 10K!
The kids typically run the kids’ one-mile race, but just as we were ready to head out the door, Seamus got sick! Luckily it was a fluke thing and he wasn’t truly ill, but Devon stayed home with them and unfortunately they missed the race this year. We’ll try again next year!
We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner, but this year we ate early and quickly, since we needed to be in the car by 3pm to drive to Philadelphia. My mom and I were headed to the Mid-Atlantic Oireachtas, an Irish dance competition that Grace was participating in!
She had a ton of fun dancing and hanging with her friends. It was a crazy weekend!
I was so proud of her for all her hard work and beautiful dancing!
We also had a fun visit in Philly with Jenn and Simon Greene! We walked all over the city in the cold and had a blast!
So it was not our typical relaxed Thanksgiving weekend, filled with food, Black Friday shopping, Christmas decorating and more food. But we had a great time! I am so thankful for all the wonderful blessings in my life!
