Presidential Visit

Today is a pretty exciting day in the Capital Region...President Obama is coming for a visit!

The really cool thing is that he is not coming to visit Albany - New York state's capital. Instead, he is heading a few minutes north to Troy (where WE live!) and coming to the Hudson Valley Community College campus (which is practically in my parents' backyard!)

Alas, I will not even catch a glimpse of the motorcade, because I am at work 30 minutes away :-(

Seamus looooooves Obama...

It would have been such a cool experience to take him to the campus and see the excitement surrounding the President's arrival.

Maybe we'll get our chance another day!

This is the article from CNN that mentions the visit: King: Busy week for the president

Happy Monday everyone!

OMG that is great pic. Where can I get me one of those masks? Matthew has a famous-person-athon at school coming up and wants to go as president Obama. Now I have done spiders, chocololate bars, policeman, wizards etc...but Obama is out of my league.

What a funny picture. I'm sorry you guys missed the visit. Next weekend I was supposed to go to DC to visit my friends-he is in the Coast Guard and stationed in the White House. Yeah-totally excited that maybe we would catch a glimpse and my friend was reassigned to New York! Oh well. Where did you get that mask?
