Lake George, NY is one of my most favorite places on earth. We spend a lot of time there in the summer, and this past weekend we went up to experience a little winter fun!
It was so cool to see our fun summer hangout completely covered in ice and snow!
There were a lot of activities happening out on the frozen lake. Snowmobile rides, dogsled racing, ice bowling…
And even helicopter rides! I couldn’t believe a helicopter was landing and taking off right on the ice.
Seamus and Grace on the lake!
Quite a different experience from the last time we were at the lake!
Liam just loves to be outside, so he had fun cruising around in the stroller.
The remains of an igloo!
I spent many summers of my childhood in Lake George with family. This place, the House of Frankenstein, always had a fully-dressed Frankenstein character greeting visitors out on the sidewalk. There is a story that as a little kid, I somehow convinced my dad that I wanted to go inside the museum. I can’t remember exactly what happened once inside, but my dad will tell you that it ended with him frantically trying to find an emergency exit to remove a screaming child from the museum. I don’t think I’ve been back inside since!
The end to a perfect day…black and white cookies!
Heading for home with my happy little man…
And two zonked-out kiddos.
The end!
