This year we were blessed to be able to attend the 2013 LPA National Convention in Washington, DC! We had such a great time!
We started out our adventure by spending the night with the Greene family in MD. We were so excited to visit with our friends, plus it made it much easier to get into DC on Monday morning and have a full day there.
We celebrated Seamus and Simon’s July birthdays! Nanny made them special beach bear cupcakes!
The kids had a ball playing, eating, and having a scavenger hunt! It was a great night with our friends! After an awesome pancake breakfast, we drove into DC and found our hotel.
We wasted no time and immediately jumped on a shuttle with lots of friends to head to some museums!
It was craaazzzy humid in DC, so we also had tons of fun at the hotel pool!
Each night the kids couldn’t wait to get out and shake their stuff on the dance floor!
On day two, we met up with friends again to visit the National Zoo. The kids loved it!
More dance fun! This time, even Liam joined in!
As with every convention, sometimes the most fun is just hanging around in the lobby with friends!
Me and my beautiful goddaughter! It was Lucy Mei’s first LPA convention!
Day three was all about visiting the monuments. First up was Lincoln Memorial.
Hey Abe!
The Capitol building (this was actually day two)
Obama’s house! Seamus was thrilled to be here, even if it was from afar!
The Museum of American History was amazing. We spent a couple hours there and only made it through one floor!
Posing with Barack and Michelle!
After a crazy busy, fun-filled three days, it was time to continue on our journey and head to the beach.
We had an amazing time in DC and hope we can visit again someday!

Great photos and so much fun!! Thank you for visiting/staying with us! We always have a blast with you guys! Can't wait for our next get together! I'm sure you're having a wonderful time right now at the beach! :)
Fun! Fun! Fun! I hate that we missed you guys. Reid had an MRI in Baltimore at the beginning of the week so we got to the convention later on Tuesday. AND you got to see Lucy Mei!!! Lucky! I want to squeeze that baby cuteness so bad!
