Why I Love the Northeast

Yesterday on the radio, the morning show DJ's were asking listeners to call in and give the best reasons why they shouldn’t just drop everything and move the heck out of the Northeast.

Not too many listeners were able to give good reasons for staying!  It was amusing listening to the show, but it never fails to amaze me how furious people get during the winter.

I’m sorry folks, but this IS the Northeast.  It is going to A) Get cold, and B) SNOW.  And probably snow lots.  I’m sorry, that’s just the way it is.  You know that pesky thing called the Equator?  We’re reeeaaallly far way from it.  So aside from global warming, I don’t see and end in sight.

Want to see the reason why I will never move away from the Northeast?

The sheer joy on these faces right here.

Freshly fallen snow, a nearby hill, and two brand-new sleds.

I couldn’t think of anything that could drag me away from this :-)

LOVE IT!!!! They are sooooo cute!!! Don't ya just love how everyone freaks out and runs off to the store to buy all the bread, eggs and milk when they call for snow?! People up here just need to chill out! Pun totally intended! You reminded me, I have to get some new sleds for the kids, snow is a comin'! :)

Love it - those are adorable pictures!! What fun! Sledding down the hill at my grandparents' house (followed by hot cocoa) every winter when we were younger has always been one of my favorite memories!

I love snow too! Although this year it hasn't seem to fall in less than 6 inches at a time or when the temp is about 20, so my poor kids have been looking at it out the window!

The pics are absolutely beautiful and you have two really adorable children there, but I must say I am becoming more and more of a warm weather girl. Am I getting old already? Next snow storm I want pictures of you going down the hill. I have to say, I think Pres would love sledding. there were NO sleds in the Richmond and surrounding areas. No snowpants either.
Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Absolutely WONDERFUL WONDERFUL pictures. I love that about the midwest too. Just wish we didn't get that brutal wind. Wonderful moments and hot chocolate afterward is always the best!
