Memorial Day Weekend Fun

We’re back from our fun and busy Memorial Day weekend!

We planned with the Weisser family to get Seamus and Ethan’s checkups at DuPont on the same day.  The kids love staying at the Ronald McDonald House, and being there with their best buddies was an extra treat!  Seamus got two thumbs up from both Dr. Bober and Dr. Mackenzie, so we’ll go back in another year.

After spending the night in Wilmington, we had another fun surprise for Friday – a visit to the Adventure Aquarium with the Weisser family, plus Jenn, Simon and Jude Greene!  It was a beautiful day, and although the aquarium was packed to the gills (ha ha) with school children, we still managed to have a great time.  It really is a great place.

Five of our seven little monkeys – Grace, Simon, Collin, Ethan and Seamus.  They had a great time together and really enjoyed each other!

Seamus and Grace got some awesome face-painting done!

Picnic time!  This was my best attempt at a group shot!  The whole monkey crew plus Liam and Jude!

We had so much fun visiting with our friends.  Can’t wait to see you all again!

Next up was a ride over to Ocean City, NJ to visit my Aunt Maureen and Uncle Jon.  It was also Liam’s first time on the beach!

The water was absolutely freezing, but it didn’t stop these two goofballs from jumping right in!

After a fun day at the beach, we came back for dinner and to get ready for the boardwalk.  Look at my cute boys wearing their matching outfits from Aunt Maureen and Uncle Jon!

Unfortunately our fun-filled day ended on a not-so-fun note…Liam got a trip to the ER when he began projectile vomiting and became extremely lethargic while we were at the pier.  Luckily my aunt works at the local hospital, so she made a call and we were brought right in.  My poor little guy had a rough few hours, but he got some meds and was good as new in no time.

Feeling much better the next day!

Everyone was super well-behaved for the long car ride and we all had such a great time on our mini-vacation.  Bye bye Ocean City, until next time!

Oh wow, first let me say thank goodness Liam is feeling better! What a scary few hours that must have been for you!!
Now on to the cuteness! I just love this post. Liam sitting in Ronald McDonald's lap is so funny. Totally love the face paintings! Grace's butterfly is just beautiful and Seamus' shark face is awesome!! I've tried many times to get Peyton to do this, but he never will. I'm gonna have to show him Seamus' shark face and maybe that will convince him. So cool!!

What a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend! I am so sad I couldn't join you guys on Friday due to work! :( I definitely want to get together with POLP this summer. Bronx Zoo or anywhere in NYC is great with me. We should get a lot of people together. I know you guys know more POLP then me since we are new members.
Liam is so darn cute in those adoptable hats. So happy he is feeling better. I would've been so scared! So happy that Seamus had a great check up with Bober andMackenzie! Xoxo

I am so sorry that Liam gave you quite a scare. Thankfully he felt better very quickly. I must say I loved this blog post. Each picture was cuter than the next. I am so glad you all got together and a shame we couldn't make it! I cannot deal with the pic of Liam on the beach. Want to eat him up. Love the Ronald McDonald picture and that you do that pose every year. That was some elaborate face painting. Also the pic of the kids buried in the sand? Priceless.
Are the matching outfits from Janie and Jack? I ask because Pres has a t-shirt that looks very similar.
I have to e-mail you and Jenn and anyone else in the area about the potential Williamsburg trip on July 12? Was that the date again?

Yay for Seamus getting two thumbs up from Dr. Bober and Dr. Mackenzie! Having best buddies along always makes the appointments so much more fun! Adorable pictures at the Ronald McDonald House - how fun that you take these each year!
Thank you so much for inviting us to the aquarium with you guys! We had such a great time, and we can't wait for our next get together!! You got such cute pictures of all of our monkeys! :) Simon was so sad to leave after we said our good-byes and wanted his friends to come home with him! Seamus and Grace's face paintings were awesome . . . I need to get Simon's face painted sometime so it's not such a scary thing to him.
I'm so happy that Liam was feeling much better after a few hours! What a scare that must have been.
Liam's first beach picture is sooooo precious - such a cutie pie! Love the pic of Grace and Seamus buried in the sand too! Ok - all of these pics are super cute!! It looks like all three of them loved the beach! Seamus and Liam are so handsome in their matching outfits!
Glad you guys had such a wonderful (minus the scare) Memorial Day weekend!!
