The fun continues in Dallas!
We visited Fair Park with its beautiful fountains and the Children’s Aquarium with Trisha and Caden. The kids were sure to make wishes and throw pennies into the fountain.
Fair Park is home to the Cotton Bowl and the State Fair and it had a lot of interesting things to look at.
The aquarium was so nice, and the perfect size for the kiddos. They got to touch a baby alligator!
Seamus and Grace with an albino alligator.
This turtle is 115 years old!!!
Seamus caught a big one!
The funniest part of the visit was feeding the sting rays. The kids were really unsure about sticking their hands way to the bottom of the tank to let the sting rays feed off their hands, so a couple of them just threw the food into the tank! Devon got brave and reached in to feed them, and a sting ray literally climbed right up his arm!
This sea turtle had been found tangled in a fish net and lost parts of his right-side front and back legs. He still swam around just fine, and even had a little hitchhiker here stuck to his belly!
Devon and Seamus got to have a boys’ adventure of their own, with a tour of the new Dallas Cowboys stadium! They said it was just amazing!
The Cowboys’ new quarterback :-)
Touchdown!
We were also very fortunate to meet up with Devon’s Aunt Cindy, who lives in the Dallas area. The kids had never met her before! She took us out for some yummy Texas BBQ, and Seamus finally got to try some “cowboy chicken.”
We made sure to enjoy the pool some more before getting ready to fly to Myrtle Beach on the 4th.
The convention was a blast as it always it. We were so sad to see it end! Looking forward to seeing so many friends next year in DC! Happy 4th of July!
