So my sweet and ornery five-month-old boy was not too interested in getting his pictures taken this month. In fact, his only interest was attempting to grab the big paper 5 that was taped to his belly and snack on it.
He simply was NOT going to crack a smile, no matter what we did!
Looking over at Grace…okay, she’s mildly entertaining, but still not smiling.
Mom! Give me that camera! I wanna chomp on it!
Ah, what do we have here? A little construction paper, and some tape?
Mmm, don’t mind if I do!
Instead of letting him devour craft supplies, we thought maybe it was time to try some solid food! We started with oatmeal. Here’s how it went:
“Are you sure about this, Mom? Alright, if you say so…”
“Ugh…”
“What IS this??? What have you done to me??? ” 
“Well now…wait just a minute…”
“This stuff is GREAT!!”
“Ahh, keep it comin’ Mama!”
My big boy loves his food! And the cool thing is that they have done away with a lot of the old “rules” that applied to introducing solid foods. The pediatrician says we can go ahead and try new fruits and veggies right away, without waiting a few days in between each one. We make our own baby food, so this is going to be fun!

Oh my goodness! Liam is so cute in these pictures. Nice you can just start giving him fruits and vegies to eat and not have to wait it out.

I love this post. I smiled and chuckled the whole way through. Not to mention that I want to bite Liam's legs. He is just so adorable. How is he five months old already? Time is flying. He is just the cutest!
Liam is Adorable! Does he have any teeth yet? Lyla doesn't have any but drools and sucks on her fingers like crazy! I tried to introduce her to solids but was hysterical. I thought......Food is soooo good how can she think this is terrible. LOL
Such a cute post and Liam is beyond adorable!! Yay for starting solid foods and loving his oatmeal! Not having to wait between trying new foods must be really new as we were still told to wait a few days in between with Jude. Have fun making all of his foods and watching his cute expressions as he tries each one! :) I loved making Simon and Jude's baby food too.
