Beach Babes

Ahhh….Myrtle Beach!

We love it here!

But….it does not love me :-(

018

Seriously…this is me with SPF 50.  Is this just wrong, or what?  The sun hates me!  The South is wonderful – the easygoing pace, the kind people, the beautiful weather….but my pale Irish skin is the reason I am bound to be a lifelong New Yorker!

So I’m sure you didn’t come here to see pics of my nasty sunburn. you came to see pics of my beach babes!

We got a great surprise on our first day down at the beach…Poppy!

My dad had stayed home from vacation because of work, but apparently he couldn’t stay away too long…he flew down Saturday morning and you should have seen our faces when he walked onto the beach!  He’ll be here until Wednesday, and the kids are so thrilled that he’s here.

Good news…Grace is actually getting to sleep without a major hassle every night!  Woo hoo!  And the pinot grigio sure isn’t hurting…       :-)

A little wine never hurt anybody. That burn looks horrible girl! As olive complected as I am I still get burned a bit but nothing like you. Hope your kids don't burn like you. What a nice surprise you had from your dad! Myrtle Beach looks like the beach to visit if I am on the East Coast. Great pics!

Your kiddos look so cute with all their beach gear. Looks like you came prepared (except maybe some more SPF for you?). Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week on your va-cay!

How awesome that Poppy made it to the beach! I bet the kids were super excited, I know mine would be! Oh. My. Goodness. Your sunburn looks terrible, I hope your not in too much pain! Enjoy the rest of the vacation, I'm trying to plan a trip down there for the first week of August, if we can't get into the campground, I'm just gonna book a hotel, I can't NOT go to Myrtle Beach!

Wow, looks like a great vacation except for the sunburn. I spoke to Poppy last week when he was getting ready to come surprise all of you - he can't stand to be away from those adorable children. Have a great time and thanks for keeping us posted on your vacation!

Too cute! It was so great meeting all of you in New York. I hear you about the sunburn -- my skin does the same exact thing. So frustrating -- I'm always so jealous of people with pretty tanned legs.

You have two of the cutest beach babes that I've ever seen! Love the pictures!
What a great surprise that your dad is there! Yay for Grace sleeping again without much hassle!
Enjoy the rest of your vacation! Looking forward to seeing more pics!

WOW on your burn! I hope you have lots of aloe vera and a lot of wine. I feel that wine helps a lot of pain go away! LOL! Also what a great surprise that your dad came down. I wish he had a camera to get the surprised look that I am sure was on all your faces. He really is the coolest! I love the pics of your beach babes. They are quite adorable. Maybhe next year I should coordinate to spend like two days in Myrtle Beach after the convention!
